INTERVIEW WITH REGURGITATE!!!

1. Hi Urban!! Can you please introduce yourself and the other members and what do
you do in the band?
- Hi... well we are:Rikard Jansson - vocals Urban skytt - guitar Jocke Pettersson - drums Glenn Sykes - bass

2.Recently you guys said that you won't be doing any live shows so that you canconcentrate on writing new material, what can we expect from the new Regurgitate?
- We are trying to play really simple, standard grindcore... with a death/gore twistto it. The same stuff we have always been doing, so we're hoping it is no big changein direction for the new stuff. Maybe a step backwards to even more simple stuff.

3.You're working on a split with Bile (which i will be interviewing them too), howsthe split going till now? any release date?
- We recorded our songs long ago... and are now waiting for Bile to record somestuff too. I haven't heard any release date... probably because I don't think Bilehas anything to release yet... but I could be wrong.

4.There's a Regurgitate Tribute album "Comeback of Goregods", what did you think ofit ?
- That's just weird. I try not to think about it... but, really, it is an honor ofcourse. There are so many bands out there doing RGTE covers... something that stillsurprise me a lot. We never payed too much attention to what people in the scenethought about us, so we we were really surprised by the big interest in RGTE.

5.Out of all the Fests that you guys played , which one would you say was the onethat you enjoyed the most? What country would you say has the largest Grindcorescene?
- I really, really like Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic... well organized, good bands, nice people etc. I have no idea what country has the biggest grindcorescene... i think extreme music is pretty big in the eastern european countries...but also in... no I don't know. Not Sweden - that much I know! Holland perhaps?

6.Regurgitate being on the Carcass tribute album I would like to ask you thisquestion, seeing that Bill Steer is going around saying that grindcore and metal isfor kids and that he hates it when people ask him about carcass, what can you sayabout that ?
- People (wimps and posers!) are allowed to change... he used to play some reallybrilliant music and if he can't appreciate that - that's his problem. Carcass playeda big role in developing the music RGTE and many other bands play, so whatever hesays or thinks doesn't matter - I still think he did some genious stuff.

7.What song does the crowd enjoy moshing to when you guys playing in live shows ?
- All of them... or none of them. No one can hear any difference between the songswhen we play live anyway...

8.Can you tell me what you think of these bands: Machetazo, Gut, Torsofuck,Haemorrhage, Inhume.
- Machetazo - haven't heard any new stuff, but I like their old stuff.- Gut - Classic... but nothing I listen to.- Torsofuck... never heard- Haemorrhage... really good, and nice people as well- Inhume... excellent stuff and Ben and Loek play in Bile, so we have met them abunch of times.

9.Where do you see Regurgitate in 10 years? Will be be still giving it 100% or willit go upto 200% !!!- We will be giving 17% just as we have done throughout our career!!! Haahahaha! Wereally just do this because we like the music and we like playing the music. We arenot struggling to become famous... obviously - wrong type of music for that I guess.

10.Thanx alot for the interview, you have any last words to all the grindcore headsin the arab world?
- Keep an open mind... and grind on.
